A beach wedding week — welcome party, ceremony, reception, full décor build, guest resort block and transport.
What to watch for
- Sargassum seaweed can land on the beaches, worst between April and August. No one can promise a clear beach. Anyone who does is selling you something.
- Buy event-cancellation insurance if you are marrying in hurricane season. In writing, every time.
- Tulum beach properties often run on generators and have limited water. Ask directly.
- Use vetted private transport rather than street taxis, and never hand a deposit to an unverified local vendor.
