Riviera Maya

The easiest long weekend in the world to make feel enormous.

From Cancún airport you can be at a beach villa in Playa del Carmen in an hour or Tulum in two. It carries the widest range of any region we work in: an all-inclusive week that a family can genuinely afford sits on the same coastline as a private beachfront estate with its own staff. Cenotes, Tulum ruins and the reef are all within a morning.

What a week actually costs

Indicative shapes, not quotes — an advisor verifies real prices for your exact dates before anything is offered.

Under $4,000 for the week

A family of four at a well-run all-inclusive in Puerto Morelos or Akumal, flights included, with two excursions.

$12,000–35,000

A private beachfront villa with a cook and a concierge, boat and cenote days, drivers on call.

$70,000+

A beach wedding week — welcome party, ceremony, reception, full décor build, guest resort block and transport.

What to watch for

  • Sargassum seaweed can land on the beaches, worst between April and August. No one can promise a clear beach. Anyone who does is selling you something.
  • Buy event-cancellation insurance if you are marrying in hurricane season. In writing, every time.
  • Tulum beach properties often run on generators and have limited water. Ask directly.
  • Use vetted private transport rather than street taxis, and never hand a deposit to an unverified local vendor.
