The Amalfi Coast
Vertical, theatrical, and worth every step.
Positano, Ravello, Praiano and the villages between them are built into a cliff, and that shapes everything — the views, the logistics, and the cost. Ravello sits higher and quieter with the grand gardens and the best ceremony terraces. Positano is the photograph everyone pictures. Praiano and Minori cost less and sleep better.
What a week actually costs
Indicative shapes, not quotes — an advisor verifies real prices for your exact dates before anything is offered.
Under $5,000 for the week
Two people in a family-run guesthouse in Praiano or Minori in shoulder season, ferries and buses instead of cars, lunches over dinners.
$20,000–50,000
A villa with a terrace and a cook, private boat days along the coast and to Capri, drivers for the coast road.
$120,000+
A wedding on a Ravello terrace with a full week of hosting, guest hotel blocks, boat transfers and a production team.
What to watch for
- There are no wide roads. Coaches cannot reach most addresses, and August traffic on the SS163 can turn twenty minutes into two hours.
- Steps are everywhere. If any guest has limited mobility, that decides the village before anything else does.
- Boat days get cancelled for sea state, not rain. Build a plan B into the itinerary.
- Ravello ceremony terraces book twelve to eighteen months ahead for Saturdays in June and September.
